Showcase: Ashburton Resource Recovery Park

The problem:

The Resource Recovery Park provides a valuable service to the Ashburton community by taking everything from household rubbish, green waste, construction materials and hard to dispose of products such as paint, oil and sealants.

Run by the Ashburton District Council and Envirowaste, the team at the facility wanted to make the space more inviting for members of the public while also providing safe and secure storage for potentially dangerous materials.

The solution:

Royal Wolf supplied two 40-foot general purpose containers which are used as a recycle shop. The containers feature a large-scale artwork painted by a local school student which brings the recycle shop to life.

The Park’s Dangerous Goods containers are used for the storage of substances such as paint and oil. Our DG containers are used across a wide range of industries as a safe and easy way of storing everything from paint and perfume through to hazardous chemicals and sprays in the horticulture and agriculture sectors.

The result:

Not only do the containers at the Resource Recovery Park provide the ultimate large-scale canvas for a young up and coming artist, they also provide a vibrant, practical, and durable space for the recycle shop.

The DG containers enable the Park to be a recycling and waste operation that is multi-purpose with the capability to deal with a wide range of products and materials.
