  • 40-foot container solution doubles as pump shed and workspace after local club hit by fire
  • Efficient, quick to install, cost effective

Urgent solution following fire

When the Auckland Greyhound Club’s maintenance shed burnt down, it required a fast and cost-effective solution to ensure it was able to continue operating.

Royalwolf’s Business Development Manager, Matthew Somerville, worked closely with the club to develop a containerised solution that not only met their replacement needs but enhanced the club’s operation.

Bigger, better, faster, stronger

With a bore on site, the club pumps its own water, so the decision was made to use a large 40-foot container that was able to double as a pump shed as well as a maintenance area.

“The 40-foot container ticked all the boxes. We settled on a design that allowed them to house their pump units and then we were able to incorporate a storage and workspace for their groundsman,” says Somerville.

The unit, which sits on an embankment over-looking the track, was completed with the addition of a side door, a secure window, vents, and a fill electrical and lighting fit out.

“A container is strong and secure but also incredibly adaptable and portable which made it an ideal solution for what the club required.”
