Meet Your Wolf Pack - Linda Carter

Marketing is rapidly evolving in the digital space, and our Marketing Manager Linda ensures we’re always on the front foot.

Linda started her career as a junior designer and then went on to work in market research, agriculture and more recently the shipping container industry. With five years at Royal Wolf under her belt, she’s seen through lots of exciting campaigns – many of which have been in the digital space.

“I started at Royal Wolf as a Marketing Coordinator. After 12 months, I became the Digital Marketing Coordinator. I moved into the Marketing Manager role two and a half years ago. A lot has happened since then,” says Linda.

In her role as Marketing Manager, Linda looks after multiple different teams inside and outside of the business — and there are lots of moving parts.

“I manage the marketing team, which includes our Marketing Communications Coordinator, Marketing and Design Coordinator, and the Live Chat team. Essentially, I coordinate the ins and outs of the marketing for 38 branches across two countries. We also have a few agencies that help with our digital marketing, and a website agency. So, technically, I’m responsible for looking after five different teams.”

When it comes to marketing, Linda loves learning about Royal Wolf’s customers by working closely with the live chat team:

“What’s great about working with the live chat team is they’re the front line for digital customer service. They’re the ones dealing with all the requests that come through the website. The live chat team spend an average of 10 minutes on every message — it’s very conversational. That’s a huge part of marketing now. It’s a great way to learn about our customers in a more personalised, solution-based way. It gives you a lot of insight, which helps when developing marketing strategies.”

As with many businesses in the digital age, Royal Wolf has had to evolve quickly to create interesting, targeted marketing content — and Linda’s played a pivotal role.

“Marketing has really evolved over the years and moved from print and radio to digital and automated. I’ve had to adapt, learn and grow and also educate via internal marketing. I’ve really enjoyed the opportunity to shape and grow the marketing strategy. Bringing the Royal Wolf brand to life and taking it in a more down to earth, conversational direction has also been great.

Outside of the office, Linda can be found at home with her family and her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Monte Carlo:

“I'm a real homebody. Every Friday is family night, so my husband, my two daughters and I go out for dinner. I’m a family-oriented person. I also go to aqua aerobics with my daughter. We’re super competitive. It’s actually quite exhausting!”
